Beschrijving

Deze kaart geeft de National Cycle Network en de aanbevolen fietsroutes door het zuidelijk deel van Devon. Alle fietsroutes in betreffend gebied staan keurig ingetekend, dus ook die van het National Cycle Network. Ook veel praktisch zaken als bezienswaardigheden, stations, supermarkten, fietsenmakers, pubs, hotels etc. Bovendien zijn er vijf dagfietstochten op de kaart vermeld.

Deze kaart bestrijkt het volgende gebied: Okehampton, Exeter, Chard, Plymouth, Exmouth, Salcombe, Dartmoor

South Devon is a glorious mix of rolling hills dotted with small towns. South and east of Dartmoor National Park includes some beautiful seaside resorts and quiet river estuaries. The busy city of Exeter, the county town, and the bohemian market town of Totnes are also worth a visit. England's only natural UNESCO world heritage site, the Jurassic Coast, runs east from Exmouth into Dorset and is famous for its fascinating geology and perfect fossils of early marine life.
 
This pocket-sized colour map shows clearly mapped on-road and traffic-free paths, easy to read contours, and detailed inset maps for the major towns and cities as well as recommended linking routes connecting the NCN with quiet roads. Weinig aanknopings- herkenningspunten

Ik had niet eerder met kaartjes gefietst (wel met fiets-GPS). Ik vond op de kaart weinig aanknopings- herkenningspunten zoals een pub of een kerk. We zijn dus met enige regelmaat echt goed van de route gekomen. Dat is eigenlijk niet zo erg omdat je toch vakantie hebt maar de bedoeling van een kaart is wel je enige houvast te geven. Zeker
