Gedetailleerde wandelkaart van het zuidwestelijke deel van IJsland, met hoogtelijnen, wandelpaden (gemarkeerd en niet gemarkeerde), allerlei topografische details. Deze kaart bestrijkt het gebied in het zuidwesten van IJsland.

Op de voorzijde is de kaart van Öraefajökull met schaal 1:100.000 afgebeeld, op de achterzijde de kaart van Maelikvardi met schaal 1:25.000. 

The Skaftafell map comprises Atlas Maps 87 and 88, which provide a good overview of the area surrounding Skaftafell National Park. There is also a more precise map of the area around Skaftafell and Morsárdalur.

One of the titles in a series of special detailed hiking and touring maps, based on the Icelandic topographic survey, covering the most visited parts of the country. Since the administrative changes at the Icelandic survey organization, Landmælingar Islands, the maps are being gradually re-printed showing the name of Ferðakort as their publisher.

This title is a topographic map of the Skaftafell National Park with contours at 20-metre intervals and vivid relief shading. The map shows different types of terrain and vegetation, e.g. cultivated areas, bogs, meadows, heath, lichen and moss, lava, glaciers, etc. Footpaths and bridleways are marked. Map ticks give latitude and longitude in steps of 4’.

On the reverse, the Skaftafell area is shown in much greater detail at1:25,000, indicating the local campsite and guesthouse, and information centre. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1’ and 2’ respectively. Map legend and additional text on the area and its hiking trails include English.
